Deutsch-Kamerun-Forum für medizinische und paramedizinische Wissenschaften CAMFOMEDICS - Relaunch

Die Mitglieder des Vorstands von CAMFOMEDIC traf zu Beginn dieses Jahres in St. Vinzenz Krankenhaus Düsseldorf, um ihre Kalender 2012-2013 abzuschließen. Neben der Einführung einer neuen Website, gekrönten andere innovative Initiativen die Tagesordnung. In wenigen Worten zielen sie auf "Verbindung von Menschen und Resourcen für eine bessere Gesundheit". Ein Ziel, das sie beabsichtigen, durch verschiedene Projekte wie folgt zu erreichen:

Das Pink Project

PINK steht für "Praktikum in Kamerun". Ein spezielles Forum, um kamerunischen und deutschen Studenten / Absolventen Fragen über ein Praktikum in Kamerun zu antworten. Dieses Projekt schafft ein Portal über die Möglichkeit, ein Praktikum, Famulatur oder das Praktische Jahr für Studierende der Medizin und Pflege-Karrieren in Kamerun zu absolvieren. Dies umfasst Informationen über medizinische Geräte, Lehrkrankenhäuser (Größe, Ausstattung, Fachabteilungen und Dienstleistungen), Möglichkeiten für Unterkunft und Ansprechpartner vor Ort.

Das SAAP Projekt

SAAP oder Student Academic Assistance Program ist ein Mentoring-Programm,  wobei Einzelpersonen auf einer Eins-zu-eins-Basis als auch  Gruppen, eine akademische, berufliche und persönliche Betreuungsprogram angeboten wird.

Das Projekt IMED

Dies zielt auf die Verbesserung der medizinischen Ausbildung und Gesundheitsversorgung durch Diaspora Engagement, um Kameruns' größte Krise im Gesundheitssystem anzugehen: Mangel an Fachpersonal. Der Zweck des Projektes ist die enge Kooperation und Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem medizinischen Personal von zwei Krankenhäusern in Kamerun und medizinisches Fachpersonal in der Diaspora zu ermöglichen. Es ist ein gemeinsames Projekt von Médecins du Cameroun-Cameroon Doctors (Medcamer), Cameroon Diaspora Network Germany (CDN.G) und CAMFOMEDICS

Das eHealth-Projekt
Das Pilotprojekt dient dazu, die Arbeitsabläufe in den Krankenhäusern in Kamerun auf elektronischem Wege zu verbessern. Es ermöglicht zudem eine neue Kommunikationsplattform zwischen Ärzten weltweit (e-Learning, e-Beratung, Telemedizin). German-Cameroon Forum for Medical and Paramedical Sciences CAMFOMEDICS - Relaunched

Meeting early this year at St. Vinzenz Krankenhaus Düsseldorf, the executive board members of CAMFOMEDIC, dotted the i's and cut the t's on their 2012-2013 calendar. Besides the launch of a new website, other innovative initiatives topped the agenda .In a nutshell they aim at "connecting people and resouces for a better health", a goal they plan to achieve through various projects as follows:

The PINK Project

PINK stands for "Praktikum in Kamerun", translated "Internship in Cameroon". A special forum to fascilitate  both Cameroonian and German students/graduates to do their internships in Cameroon. This project creates a portal about the possibility of an internship, clinical traineeship and practical year for medical students and nursing careers in Cameroon. This includes information about medical equipment, teaching hospitals (sizes, equipment, specialist departments and services), possibilities for accommodation and contact persons on location.

The iMED Project

This aims at improving medical education and health care delivery through diaspora engagement, thus address Cameroon's largest crisis in the health system: lack of specialist staff. The purpose of the project is to enable close cooperation and collaboration between  the medical staff of two hospitals in Cameroon and specialized medical staff in the Diaspora. It is a joint project by Médecins du Cameroun-Cameroon Doctors(Medcamer), Cameroon Diaspora Network Germany (CDN.G) and CAMFOMEDICS.

The eHealth Project
