Florence Tsagué Assopgoum was born in
Bafou-Dschang in Cameroon, where she did her primary and secondary education respectively at "Ecole Publique de
Djuttitsa" und Collège "Saint Laurent de Bafou". She later moved to Germany to study political sciences, applied linguistics and anglistics at the University of Siegen. A path that led her to a doctorate degree in political sciences at the university of Siegen, where she works as a lecturer. Her research and publications on the lives of immigrants, especially on the foriegn student, are quite informative.
Florence Tsaqué has a passion for poetry and story-telling. In August 2009 her first novel
„Femmes connues, coépouses inconnues“ was published.
She is very active and involved in her community, building cultural bridges through her participation in various workshops and organisations geared towards understanding and improving the life of the immigrant. Her publications act as a window to certain aspects of the immigrant's life 'e.g
She was recently voted a member of the council on intergration, Siegen.
