BUNDESVERDIENSTKREUZ AN VEYE TATAH

As africans in the diaspora kiss  black history month goodbye, Veye Tatah embraces with pride the Bundesverdienstkreuz (German Federal Cross of Merit).
She and three other citizens were honored on Feb. 25th by Dortmund's mayor Birgit Jörder. The Federal Cross of Merit was introduced on September 7th 1951 by federal president Theodor Heuss to honor out-standing socio-economic and intellectual contributions to the german state. A Sister in Germany wrote about Veye Tatah's outstanding contributions to the society in August 2009; read on : http://doctorsea.blogspot.com/2009/08/veye-tatah-painting-different-image-of.html
