It's black history month again and events kicked off in Hamburg in grand style


It's that time of the year again when people of African descent commemorate their history and inheritance. In Germany most activities are organized in Berlin and Hamburg.

Activities in Hamburg were launched with an opening party on the 4th of February at "Umdenkbar". The program this year is highlighted by a documentary film on Auma Obama's life on Thursday, February 16 at 7:00pm at Metropolis Kino Hamburg. Make it a date with the African diaspora in Hamburg and visit one of the much loved events:

In Berlin, this year's celebrations focus on "Brazil". A total of 30 events organized at "Werkstatt der Kulturen" will emphasize afro-brasilian cultural heritage.
